Short CV

Mirja Kühlewind is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Networked Systems Group (NSG) of the Computer Engineering and Networks Laboratory at ETH Zurich. Before that until July 2014 she was research staff member and PhD student at Institute of Communication Networks and Computer Engineering (IKR) at University of Stuttgart. She is foremost working on the design of transport protocols with a focus on congestion control as well as Internet measurements investigating the deployability of new protocols or protocol extension. She is the project coordinator the EU H2020 Measurement and Architecture for a Middelboxed Internet (MAMI) project that started in January 2016. Further, she serves, since March 2016, as an Area Director of the tranport areas in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). She is an author of multiple RFC including RFC6817 on Low Extra Delay Background Transport (LEDBAT) as well as RFC 7786 and RFC 7837 on Congestion Exposure (ConEx). Moreover, she is co-chair of the Measurements and Analysis for Protocols Research Group (maprg) in the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF).
